Swedish Meatballs

 Comfort Swedish

• 1 pound ground beef
• ½ pound ground pork
• ½ cup minced onions
• ¾ cups breadcrumbs
• 1 tablespoon minced parsley (can be dried)
• 1 tablespoon minced marjoram (can be dried)
• (optional) 1 tablespoon thyme (can be dried)
• 1½ teaspoons salt
• ½ teaspoon pepper
• 1 teaspoon Worcestershire sauce
• 1 egg
• ½ cup milk
• ¼ cup salad oil

Gravy

• ¼ cup flour
• ½ teaspoon salt
• 1 teaspoon paprika
• ¼ teaspoon ground allspice
• ¼ teaspoon ground nutmeg
• ¼ teaspoon pepper
• ½ teaspoon salt
• 3 cups beef broth
• ¼ cup heavy cream

1. Mix all above ingredients, except gravy.
2. Shape into round balls and cook until browned.
3. Remove meat and stir into the fat, the flour, paprika, allspice, nutmeg, salt and pepper.
4. Stir in the beef broth and heavy cream.
5. Return meat balls to pan and cook 20 minutes more.
