Rye Boat

• 1 ⨯ 1-pound round rye bread (or pumpernickel)
• 2 cups sour cream
• 2 cups mayonnaise
• (optional) 4 ounces cream cheese
• 4 ounces dried chipped beef (chopped)
• 1 tablespoon dill weed
• 1 teaspoon Beau Monde seasoning
• (optional) 2 teaspoons parsley
• (optional) 1 can water chestnuts (chopped)

1. Mix the sour cream, mayonnaise, cream cheese and dried beef in a bowl. You can use equal amounts, but some prefer less mayonnaise than sour cream.
2. Cut out the bread loaf, creating a bowl.
3. Cut up the rest of the bread in chunks, 1-inch cubes, maybe a little bigger/smaller depending on preference.
4. Add spices and water chestnuts.
5. Empty the mix into the bread bowl, placing the bread chunks around the outside.
