Pickled String Beans

- ¼ pound string beans
- 2 cups water
- 2 cups vinegar
- 2 cups sugar
- 2 teaspoons salt
- 2 tablespoons whole cloves
- 2 tablespoons whole allspice
- Cook beans until almost done then put in jars hot.
- Bring to boil the remaining ingredients, pour over beans and seal.
