Pickled Beets

- 1 gallon small beets
- 2 cups sugar
- 1 stick cinnamon
- 1 tablespoon whole allspice
- 3½ cups vinegar
- 1½ cups water
- Cook beats until tender. Remove skins.
- Put in kettle with other ingredients. Summer for 15 minutes.
- Pack in jars hot and seal.
