Pear Chutney

This chutney is wonderful served on top of pork chops.

  1. In a medium sauce pan on medium heat, stir together shallot, vinegar, brown sugar, butter, ginger, curry powder, cinnamon stick, ¼ teaspoon salt, and red pepper. Stir continuously for 1 minute.
  2. Add pears and simmer gently for 15 minutes. Add cranberries and simmer 5 minutes longer.
  3. Remove from heat and add the cilantro.
