Macaroni and Cheese

Favorite Personal Comfort Vegetarian addedJune 2020
- medium white sauce
- ¼ teaspoon nutmeg
- 1 teaspoon thyme
- ½ teaspoon Italian seasoning
- ½ pound pasta shells, cooked per instructions
- 1½ cups cheddar cheese, grated
- ⅓ cup breadcrumbs
- butter
- Preheat the oven to 400°F.
- Create the white sauce and stir in nutmeg, thyme and Italian seasoning.
- Mix sauce, pasta, and ¾ of the cheese.
- Place in buttered baking dish, sprinkle top with remaining cheese and top with breadcrumbs
- Bake for 15 minutes.
Tips
- I often add peas or sliced ham.
