Hobnail Cookies

- 1 cup firmly packed light brown sugar
- ½ cup butter
- 1 egg, beaten
- 1 teaspoon vanilla
- 1½ cups flour, sifted
- ½ teaspoon baking soda
- ½ teaspoon salt
- 1 teaspoon cinnamon
- ½ cup raisins
- Cream together the sugar and butter. Add egg and vanilla.
- Sift together the dry ingredients. Slowly add to the sugar mixture and beat well. Fold in raisins.
- Form into small balls and place on greased cookie sheet.
- Baked at 375°F for 12 to 15 minutes.
