Baked Ziti
Italian Vegetarian
- 15 ounces carton of Ricotta Cheese
- 4 ounces Mozzarella Cheese
- ½ cup Romano Cheese
- 1 teaspoon salt
- ½ teaspoon pepper
- ¼ teaspoon garlic powder
- 1 egg, slightly beaten
- 1 pound ziti
- 3½ cups spaghetti sauce
- Cook ziti according to package directions.
- Return ziti to cooking pan and stir in mixture of ricotta, mozzarella, salt, pepper, garlic powder and egg with 1½ cups of spaghetti sauce.
- Pour into 2½ to 3 quart shallow baking dish into which ½ cup of spaghetti sauce has been spread.
- Top with remaining sauce.
- Sprinkle with Romano cheese.
- Bake at 375°F for 30 minutes or until sauce is bubbly and top lightly browned.
- Let stand 10 minutes before serving. You may want to have more sauce when serving.
