Office Mix

In January, 2015, I joined the Office Mix team at Microsoft. Office Mix is an add-in for PowerPoint, that provides rich capabilities for educators, particularly K-12 and higher-education.

Office Mix enables teachers to add rich audio and video to their PowerPoint presentations, interactive simulations and assessments. With the click of a button, teachers can upload a Mix to a free hosted service where students can watch and learn, while the system collects assessment results and rich analytics.

My primary focus on the team was to integrate Office Mix with popular Learning Management Systems such as Blackboard, Brightspace, Instructure Canvas, Cengage, Haiku, Moodle and Schoology. I looked after the implementation of industry standards such as SCORM and LTI.

I also helped with the implementation of user experiences using XAML (WPF).
