Transcript Reporting Engine
The Transcript Reporting Engine (TRE) was a massive rework of an existing system that consolidated the training records for Microsoft employees.
The new TRE was able to recompute all training records in about 20 minutes, but when run in a delta process mode, it could easily compute thousands of records within a matter of seconds.
The new system was dramatically faster, more accurate and more stable than its predecessor.
