SharePoint Analyzer Tool

In this project, I created a tool that analyzes a SharePoint 2007 installation and creates a detailed usage report. This tool reports items that are created, modified and viewed with various time horizons and aggregates them by Site Collection, Site, List, User and even URL.

This tool not only gathers information by analyzing the existing SharePoint farm, but can also read log files from the web front-ends to determine page view.

My client had a particular need to report on Blog usage, so I adapted the tool to generate specific reports around Posts, Comments and Authors.

This tool can output to Excel 2007 (via the Open Office XML format) or HTML.
